Privacy Policy and Data Protection
Introduction
On May 25, 2018, the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of the European Union, along with its Swiss counterpart, the Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP), came into effect. Consequently, we have updated our privacy policy. The most recent significant legislative change in Switzerland regarding data protection occurred on September 1, 2023. This revision of Swiss data protection legislation introduced significant adjustments to align Swiss law with international standards, particularly the European GDPR. The changes include increased transparency obligations, expanded rights for individuals concerned, including the right to be forgotten, as well as stricter requirements regarding data security and the reporting of data breaches. Companies must now ensure they comply with these requirements to guarantee the protection and security of personal data and to avoid penalties.
